I don't use office applications that often, and I doubt if this is possible, but If I don't ask I won't find out.The problem is that I have a list, a VERY long list, consisting of a year date, and a name (this sort of format - "1921 Bill Bloggs"). The list I have is in Notepad text.Is there any way I can reverse the order from ascending to descending, without hours of typing or copying and pasting?I doubt if it can be done, but I'm desperate.Cheers, Whiz...
I don't think that you can do this in Notepad but you can in Word. Select all of your list and select Table|Sort from the menu. The list does NOT have to be in a table to do this.
Thanks VoG, I'll give it a try. I was under the impression it had to be in a table already.Learn something every day! Thanks for your fast response.
