Restore point reducing

  muddypaws 15:15 10 Aug 2008

Win XPHome SP2
I have restore points back to 17th May 2008. Which seems excessive.
Is there a way that I can delete the early ones?
I know I can switch off SR to delete the lot and start again.
Or could someone please point me to where I can reduce the amount of space available for System restore?
Will that leave me with the more recent ones.
I do have two other back up discs.

I have reduced the size of my system restore when i had xp and now with vista.
In Vista it takes up 15% of the hard drive(75GB in my case)i kid you not.
I have reduced mine to 35GB,and yes you keep all your recent restore points,it just doesen't go back so far date wise.
When have you ever had to go back 3 months or so?

System restore / Settings / Reduce the size of the space allowed

Thanks all.
rawprawn. Why couldn't I remember that!!
My 200gb C drive is half used and I have reduced SR space from 13 to 7 gigs.
Will check the effect after a re boot which presumably it needs to take effect.
