Restarting in Alternative positions.

Had an absolute meltdown of system having one Vista and two XP partitions so it became necessary to completely reinstall. Did so as follows:

Disk 1: 500 Gig, Vista primary partition with three logigals for General purpose, writing business personal etc. etc.

Disk 2: 320 Gig XP primary partition with two logicals GAMES.

Disk 3: 120 Gig XP primary partition - no logicals for mostly multimedia music programs.

Unlike my prior installation the booting from partition to partition is done via F8 on startup. The boot records on each disk is independent of one another and doesn't know the other disk is bootable although each partion will read or write to any other partion.

What I would like for each partitioned operating system is to be able to select a Restart and then restart in disk 1 or 2 or whatever without going through the F8 menu and without exposing the boot records of one operating system to meltdown problems that may exist on another disk. Thats what caused the catastophic loss the last time.

Is this restart scenario possible.
