You can restart Windows but not you computer by pressing Shift as you press OK in the Shutdown window. A more permanent solution: 1.make a new text file, and in it type "@exit" , one line, no quotes. 2.Call it whatever you want, but it must have a .bat extension. 3.Make a shortcut to it called "Restart Windows" on your desktop. 4.Right-click, go to Properties. In the Program tab, check "Close on Exit". 5.Click Advanced, then select "MS-DOS" mode, make sure "warn before entering MS-DOS mode" is off. Use by double-clicking.
