Resolution 1440 x 900 no longer available

I wonder if someone could help shed some light on something that is mystifying me.

Earlier today and indeed for the last five months, my screen resolution has sat at 1440 x 900, yet on returning to it today, having been in standby for an hour, I no longer have access to the 1440 x 900 resolution.

I'm running on Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family, if that helps.

I've never had any issue with this previously and my monitor, which is a gnr 19" widescreen, has never experienced any issues either.

I have not installed or modified anything during the offending period.

I have also updated the latest drivers as best I can.

Any help would be really greatly received.

Thanks for taking the time to read the above.

which operating system are you using? and do you mean that if you go into display settings that you have no option to revert back to 1440x900? if so i would go to your pc manufacturers downloads site and install the drivers from there.
