I've formatted my hard drive and now need to replace all of the folders and their contents that i saved. I saved them by Exporting the folders as a .pst file. However, when i try to replace this file (by Importing as suggested by Help) it refuses to do so, saying:"Properties for this information service must be defined prior to use" After clicking OK, it then says:"File Access is denied. You do not have the permission to access the file C:XXXXX" This is despite being logged on as Administrator.I'm running Windows 2000 and Outlook 2000 also.Any help is gratefully recieved
Don't copy the files - just open them from the File-Open menu. Then you can drag and drop from your old pst folders into the new ones, and finally close the old pst file.
thanks.tried that, but it still comes up with the same error message as before!andrew
Where ae they - have they been copied from a CD - are they set tp Read Only?
