Replacing a CD-ROM with a DVD Burner

I've a 5 year old IBM 8284 Desktop with just a CD-ROM fitted. It's very easy to exchange fit a DVD Burner (IDE) but would I need to change anything else (like the BIOS)?

Basically no, but there may be some software that comes included that you may want to install.

Thanks BT. The DVD Burner had the jumpers set to Master whereas the fitted CD ROM has the jumper set to Cable Select. Which should I use in this case? The HDD in the PC is SATA so it isn't using the IDE cable but the cabling does have a second IDE connector that isn't used.

leave it on master and it should work fine as the only drive on the cable.
