replacement hard drive

I have a home built desktop Pc and the 18g hard drive is full. I have tried every method possible to format it, to no avail. I would like to put in a new drive and I want to know if I will have any compatibility problems with the existing hardware.
It has a Matsonic motherboard and graphic & music cards.Grateful for any help...

There shouldn't be any problems with a new hard drive, just make sure you get one with the correct interface for your motherboard, SATA or IDE.

Okay, thanks very much. I`ll get a look at some on ebay now.

let us see what you're buying before you commit, a hard drive is one thing I wouldn't buy on ebay, especially as they are so cheap from a reliable seller, like ebuyer.

I`ll do that, thanks and get a look at ebuyer first.
