"Any DOS or Window$ system can make you a boot floppy with fdisk on it. Or you can just run the Window$ install program and it will erase the partitions for you. Win98 has a special Emergency Boot / Recovery Disk (EBD / ERD). It has lots of tools, like CD support, so I suggest you get one.
(Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Program$ Then select 'Startup Disk' and 'Make Startup Disk').
Too bad you gave up Linux!"
I'm runnning xp on one computer. How do i do this? I've looked in (Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Program$) but i can't find startup disk anywhere. Can u help me?
When i do this though, it says that it detects there is another operating system still on the Hd(obviously linux) - even though i've formatted it. It says that windows "does not recommend setting up two operating systems on one partition". If i DO go on with installing xp whilst linux is still on there, would there be much damage?
also, I've been trying to look for a bootable floppy disk that has fdisk on it but i can't find it. Can someone help me find where to download it??
