I have 2 bad blocks on the hard drive. Is there any way to remove them plse?

Are they causing problems? if not I would leave them alone. You could run checkdisk and put a check in the box to "Fix errors"

Afaik, bad sectors are not repairable as the damage is permanent. And it can only get progressively worse.

So the best thing to do is backup the failing hard disk's data to another working one, & get a new one if required. G

Yes, I have a crashing pc and have started a different thread since it is probably a different topic, although it may be related. Have run checkdisc and fix errors. Event viewer shows repeated disc warning triangles and the occasional red cross. The hard disk monitor software shows disc healthy running at steady 35 degeees.
