Via the pc tv card, I have recorded films from it to view later or burn to dvd, is there a simple program to remove the adverts out there.

Ok but before you go down the remove adverts road have you as yet burned to dvd?

  jimv7 12:47 28 Nov 2006

I should get that sorted first if I were you. You may find its not always straight forward . as for adverts look here click here
Dont know anything about it but there are links to guides

eedcam,

absolutly brilliant, within the link you gave I downloaded Mpg2Cut2 from click here,

it does not cut the adverts, but you can save portions of the film without the adverts, then using nero vision, create a dvd with chapters and NO adverts.
