Remote wireless access

  RCMB 17:18 24 Jan 2010

I want to connect laptops in my lounge to my wireless and hard wired network in my office. Unfortunately the distance is large with stone walls and there is no wireless signal. I have an ethernet cable installed through to the lounge. Can I put some sort of wireless adaptor on this to let the laptops connect to my network wirelessly?

Any advice on what I need, recommended devices, or anticipated problems welcome!. I am new to networking and have only just got my system up and running.

What you need is a "Wireless Access Point" which will connect to the existing ethernet cable. It's a stand-alone equivalent of what's inside a "wireless" router. click here

Thanks mgmcc for a very quick response and solution for my query.
