Norton Internet Security message: A Remote System is Attempting to Access Generic Host Process for Win32 services on your computer. Details are: Program -svchost.exe Path: c:\windows\system32 Protocol UDP (inbound) Remote address 1.151.239.55:58850 Local address: All network adapters 1026 Location: default

I am connected wirelessly to an access point at the moment and NIS keeps popping this one up. Do I allow or not? The recommended action ispermit always!

Taff36,

I would agree with the recommendation.

A full description of this process is here.

It`s the remote system bit I don`t understand. Is it actually another computer trying to get access? Another one popped up, almost identical but the remote address was 221.10.254.100: 41469. Is this something to do with the network?

Taff36,

yes this file is part of the network settings.

And the first one which was 61.151.239.55: 58850 (misposted first time)
