Remote Procedure Call - XP Shutdown

  The Paul 14:11 19 Oct 2003

I've just installed XP Pro. Most things appear to work okay except that I keep getting a message which states

"The system must shutdown ...... System shutdown caused by NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM. Windows must restart because Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service terminated unexpectidely."

What is this and how can I fix it. Cheers. Paul

I'll get the info and work on it. Lucky old me.

Downloaded as you suggested and things are back to normal again. Much appreciated VoG.

I'm away to read up on all the updates for XP. I hadnt been watching them as I'd been running ME and 98.

Cheers. Paul

So do I. I crashed just after I posted the last post.

Going to go right back to the start. Thanks for the help. Paul
