Remote Assistance

I am trying to use remote assistance on msn messenger 7.0, but nothing is happening, my contact has accepted the invitation for remote assistance and the firewall has allowed it, so how do i start it?

Now I get a msg saying something about a problem with the remote host, any ideas?

The remote host name could not be resolved is the message.

No thanks, i have chose to stop that running and is denied by my firewall, i will stick with msn messenger, we both have version 7.0 beta so there might be a bug until the official version is released, so I will wait until then, unless anyone else have any other ideas that might work?

Found this it may relate to the problem you have.

'Remote Assistance connection could not be established because the remote host name could not be resolved.' - What does that mean?

Essentially it just means that remote assistance didn't get a response from the target computer. The most likely cause in home scenarios is that there's a router in the way at the remote site. For Remote assistance to work, port 3389 must be forwarded on that router to the target computer's internal IP address

Well there is no router on the target computer and would that port need to be open without a router in order for remote assistance to work?
