Trying to resurect a PC killed by too much Adware / Malware.Cleaned up a lot but now have a persistant problem.PC was connected using Virgin ADSL ("Frog" modem) but all connection detail are missing from Internet Options, Connections.If i try and change anything it comes up with a message about "Remote Access Connection Manager" failed to start. Can't get exact message as i'm not with the PC (given up for today!!!!)I fear there has been a "tinkering" (probably with sledgehammers) and i'm not being told about it....
Could be that it has been set to disabled rather than Manual or Automatic in 'Services'.
Its set to manual but i did change it to Automatic. No change...
I looked at the dependencies for this service and it includes 'Telephony' and 'Internet Connection Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing'. Perhaps one of those isn't configured correctly.

I've also noticed that 'Plug and Play' and RPC are also dependencies as well.
