reinstall windows xp

How do i go about reinstalling windows xp on my system?

do i have to re-activate it as well if reinstalling it?

Are you palnning on formatting the hard disk and reinstalling evrything ? If so put the XP CD in the CD drive and restart. Boot from the CD and follow the instructions.

I think you do have to reactivate it, but I'm not sure.

depends if its xp home or xp pro if home yes .To reinstall make cd first bootable in bios and put cd in drive and restart and press enter on boot from cd in post and just follow instructions

If you copy the wpa.dbl file from the WINDOWS\system32 folder from your present install,then after reinstalling you can copy it back into the system32 folder and you won't have to reactivate.

Reactivation is plain and simple whether via the web or phone.
You can copy wpa.dbl and replace it after reinstalation
