Registry changes

Recently used the Fixit utilities supplied on disc. Didn't like the changes (couldn't access any of my Office programmes) so did a complete 'Undo' and uninstalled the prog. However, some changes still have not been undone as when I try, for instance, to access a Powerpoint doc, a screen message comes up saying my Registry changes have denied me access. Where is the Registry, and how do I make changes??

Probably will not work but can you do a system restore to a time when it did work Ok.

If you know nothing about your registry settings you DO NOT want to try and fix the errors you have.

If you delete or change the wrong key/string you could render your PC useless.

Safest option is to try butemans suggestion and try a system restore or just uninstall and reinstall the progs you are having issues with...
