Icannot adjust my recycle bin.I go to propoties and the bin is frozon
I had advice along the following lines:-
Locate the following key in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWAREMicrosofr\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop|NameSpace\.
On the edit menu, click Add Key, and then add the following registry key:
Key name:{645FF040-5081-101B-9FOB-00AAoo2F954E}
Quit Registry Editor.

Problem is when I get to Key name it is the same as the one above.
What do I do to solve my problem ?
Regards
Chas

May be a typo, but the string -9FOB- should be -9FO8-

Do you have more than one partition or hard drive on the PC? Each one will have a recycle bin.

Have a read here click here

The icon on the desktop may not be pointing to the correct path. If you follow the Workaround, it may put another icon on the desktop which works.

graham
Only one hard drive and partition.
Will try workaround on the 19th.
Thanks for all your help.

Graham
Have tried Method's one and two, no success.
Run GPEDIT.MSC would not respond.
Also tried workaround got new recycle bin icon, as bad as the other.
Will try again at weekend then give up if I do not succeed.
Thanks for help.

Tried again.
On the WORKAROUND got as far as Folders then came to a dead end. Could not find Folders. Must be my age, I am 75.
