Can the sound played on a web page be recorded - and if so, how?

What sound card do you have?

check your temporary internet files (may have to unhide) and look for large music file copy to folder ;) sometimes it works

Depending on your sound card, if you use Audacity you may have to loop the Line out back into the Line in for it to work, not a big problem, but one to be aware of, I think its in their help and support section somewhere.

If you can hear it through your speakers you should be able to record it.

I use JetAudio (free) and on the Record tab set it to Stereo Mix.

click here scroll to the bottom and select basic download.
