Is there a DVR / PVR out there that will let me record straight to an external hard drive, please?

Hi Bill

There's not much that does this. However I did find an solution.

Imaging DVR software records Freeview, Freesat and satellite tv to a hard drive, memory card or tv stick.

We go off caravanning a lot and I find Imaging DVR handy to bring the external hard drive along with the laptop especially when we're away for several days.

That way we always have something to watch even if we are in a place with no TV reception. And I don't miss the football!

It works with lots of TV cards and you can get a trial download.

It seems to work with lots of TV cards.

If you have a Media Centre Edition software you can tell it to record to a specific drive,. I Have W7 64 bit, and my drive is partitioned 100 gig for system and balance for data so I set it to record to the data drive.I have a Happaughe tuner.
