Recommendation for a new printer / scanner with ch

Can anyone recommend a good printer / scanner that has reasonably priced inks.

My old HP 210C has chewed up its insides and my photo printer Epson R300 is rubbish. It always prints with faint lines no matter how many times I clean it. The inks are expensive and don't last long.

Kodak printers are reputed to be the cheapest to run, as regards ink prices.

You can take any printer that you like without worrying for the cost of your inkjet cartridges as these days remanufactured inkjet cartridges or recycled inkjet cartridges are available that can provide you with many cheap options.

Have a trawl through Consumerwatch.

Avoid Canon

Nothing wrong with a canon MP640 regarding ink usage. Seems a problem with the MP980.

Maybe not, but there would appear to be something wrong with Canon's customer relations.

Depends how you approach them sometimes.

Well we don't know how the Deputy Ed approached them, but I would suggest it was in a pretty businesslike manner.
