Is the file in MPEG1 or already in MPEG2?

use TMPGEnc, not as fast as these one click utilities but results are far superior...

for example, Nero, Roxio (Sonic) or NTI

if you want dedicated one, Ulead Moviefactory, Sonic MyDVD etc etc

I normally use Sonic MyDVD, but I was so disappointed with the quality of the conversion, I decided to try TMPGEnc. And the results are far superior.
But the other video editors I have can not edit MPEG2(old software,MGI Videowave111 and Arcsoft showbiz).
So I have ordered Creative Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor, hopefully it will sort out the problem I have with quality coversion and mix some good music into the video.
