Random folders appeared that can't be deleted?!

  jonargent 22:45 24 Dec 2008

I've noticed on my Video hard drive that 3 folders have appeared with long filenames, such as , bf948804b17110525cd6493c9e63f30a, bf948804b17110525cd6493c9e63f30a and d03d75a9542d762bc9. All 3 show as 0 bytes, 1 folder, with a folder called 'update' in each. When I try to delete the main folders, it puts up an error message "Cannot delete update: Access is denied." and if I try to open it, it says "G:\8908b94a85e473b312d6\update is not accessible. Access is denied."

How can I get rid of these?!

If they are NOT causing any problems, why bother trying to delete them - just leave them as they are.

Because its something that shouldn't be there, There's no reason anything should have put temporary files to that hard drive, and its only this drive its happened on!

Try FastStone Capture. click here

Faststone Capture is good for screen captures but will do nothing for deleting files.
The utility below has worked for me on files I that would not be deleted.

The Move on Boot utility will do what you want.

It is the File Utilities that contains the Move on Boot.

This will help...

Sorry, just wasn't thinking right. Of course, fastStone wouldn't help. I intended Unlocker, as Mat Alan has suggested.

@ Quiet Life: I've tried the MoveOnBoot to try to delete, but it says the same error as if I tried myself to delete.

@MAT ALAN: The program deleted it fine, thanks for your help!
