I will be really impressed if anyone can answer this. In the early 1980's I had a small program written in BASIC language that you could use to input letters or numbers and it would tell you how many combinations were possible.

Example ... ABC can be written as , ABC ACB BAC BCA CAB CBA.

Does anyone know of any software or app that can do this , in my Microsoft suite I only use word , I have never used powerpoint or excel so I don't know if this is possible in these 2 programs.

Found this from Sourceforge. Downloaded from the blue zip file link. Checked with Malwarebytes then checked the .exe file. It's only a 20 KB .exe file with no installation needed.

rdave13.

I also checked the Permutations Calculator 1.0.ZIP file with Malwarebytes by doing a Threat Scan and it flagged it up as a 'MachineLearning/Anamolous.94%' so I elected to quarantine it.

Bookmark my link, and use the online service. No need to worry then.
