Question regarding m.2 drive on B150 M3 MB

Hey!

I recently bought a Corsair Force MP500 and realized afterwards that maybe it won't work on my motherboard. I'm using a MSI B150 M3 board that does have a m.2 slot but when I read up about it I saw that it apparently only support mSata or something like that and not NVMe. Soooo my question to you lovely people is, if I order a pci-e adapter for the NVMe drive and use it in the adapter instead. Will it work, and get the right speeds? And will it be able to boot off it?

I'm super happy for any help!
