I am currently looking for a PCi Express Nvidia chip card and notice a lot ofthe time that they give the mhz refresh as 85MHz I will be using a VX924 TFT and I have been lead to believe that you have the TFT set to 60Hz can someone correct of confirm am I correct that a TFT screen should be set to a 60Hz unlike a 70-75MHz setting.

Cheers.

My two TFT monitors and my two laptop screens all operate at 60Hz. Any departure from a TFT monitor's optimum settings - resolution and refresh rate - can have unpredictable results.

The 85MHz figure is for a CRT monitor (it eliminates flicker for the majority of users) and, as mgmcc states, a TFT's refresh and resolution rates are native.

Just got to choose a decent PCi Express card now.
