Purchasing a Laptop

Am wanting to buy a laptop c.£1000. What is better... a Intel Pentium4 processor or a celeron or a Athlon XP Mobile 2500 processor.

Also I am confused about graphics cards. What is a 64MB ATI Mobility Radeon Graphics card like. I have no idea.

Any ideas as to the best deals around? Models/Makes etc. I am lost in the minefield of laptops.
