Prohibited file type

What is a WVM file? When I get an atachment with this file type i get a pink message which says "prohibited file type considered dangerous"

WVM is a Wave (Audio) file.

There is some confusion here.

Technotiger your link is re the WMV file (Windows Video) not WVM which as you said is a type of WAVE file click here

To stop the warning message popping up, in OE > Tools > Options > Security > and untick 'Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus' click on 'Apply' and 'OK'

Make sure that the attachment is from a trusted source

Don't forget to save the attachment to 'My Documents' and fully scan it before opening.
