program in XP - can I copy it to view in Vista or other

I am a mobile mechanic & have a disk with lots of car service data on, but it only gives options to upload it in Windows 95, 98 ME, 2000 & XP. My PC still runs XP Professional but my laptop is loaded with Vista. I cannot seem to load this data disk onto my laptop - it would really help me if I need some service data on 'the road' - Is there any way I can copy the info on the disk to be able to use it with my laptop??

What error message do you get when trying to load in VIsta

don't get any real error messages, just cannot access it once it has apparently loaded

Would help if you are able to explain a bit more about what you have on the disk. For example, does it include software that you install to access the car service data? If so what is that software called?

If no software, we somehow need to find out what format the data is in. Do you have any idea what sort of files hold the data?
