prog on disk

I guess there is probably a simple answer to this but I can't see it.

I had a prog. on my hard drive which I transfered to a disc.

The prog will play from the disc but if I copy the files back to my hd. The prog won't run.
Does anyone know the reason for this?

How did you initially transfer program from hard drive to disc?

I am fairly certain that I used alcohol 120%. But there is a possiblity it was nero.

Sorry but I don't know "Why". If anything I am surprised that copying to disk allowed the proggie to run normally. AFAIK most programs when installed have set paths in the registry so that the program can point at all necessary files.

These paths are set during the install process. What program is it? Was it installed by way of a setup.exe file?

Maybe someone wiser will help.

It is a prog.that I downloaded. An image file. Perhaps the answer is there. It's not a big deal I can run it from the cd. I was just curious as to why I couldn't copy it back to the HD.

Hi, when you run it on the pc, can you not right-click on it and find the option to save-as etc?

No, that is not an option
When I run the Prog it runs from the disc. There are lots of progs within the main prog and they all run as req. from the disc. It is a Jazz Guitar tutorial.
