After having a major setback whereby the processor fan stopped and an overheat stopped the computer, taking out both my hard drives, I have now installed a new HDD and fan.

Should I have set anything as it shows that the processor is 733mhz, whereas it should be twice that, or has that been damaged as well??

The mainboard is the K7S5A, with a socket A supporting AMD-K7 processors.

It is running slower that it used to.

Keeps the brain working.

Have you changed any jumper settings or clock speeds?

No, just put a new HDD in and a new fan+heatsink.

This morning it showed 733mhz, just now on fireup it showed 1.1g, which is more like it should be, so it looks like it is being erratic.
