microsoft has released another update it is called kb446219 , when the update is trying to initalise/download my pc seems to hang a lot to the point where there is a lag in typing , the update gets to about 25% then fails , i think the actual update is bugged because i have tried unsuccessfully to put this update on another pc.

Has anyone else had the same problem

Installed today with no problem. Took some time. It was KB 4462919 not 446219 in the body of your text, not the heading. A cumulative update ;

yes it was a typo the heading is the correct kb number

downloaded and ran windows update trouble shooter wu170509 but the kb4462919 update still wont work , it gets to 25% installed jumps very quick to 100% then goes back to initialising , I have a £3,000 very powerful pc and everything is running slow when this update tries to run

Sorry to hear it. My 2 PC’s , good but not extreme, installed it ok. Maybe others will comment. Mine have Intel 7i and 16gig RAM.

No problems here. It downloaded and installed faster than some of the recent ones.

I would download the offline installer from MS. Just Google the KB number. The download is about 770Mb but it sometimes installs a problematic update when the online version has a problem.

It keeps failing for me. I don't even have an HP machine, but many people with HPs are reporting issues with it failing to install. I've tried downloading the update directly from the catalog as well with the same thing.

Yes, Have had BIG issues with KB4462919. As soon as i installed it I got a BSOD every couple hours. Went back and uninstalled it and no more issues. This happened with the last CUM Update too. I uninstalled it as well, then, after finding out a lot of people had similar issues, MS issued a fix which seemed to work. I run an asus MB with an AMD Phenom chip. I think there are compatibility issues with the platform and windows 10. Just NEVER keep the newest cumulative update on your machine untill it has been around for a few months and MS is forced to fix the inevitable issues. After a Cum update downloads and installs, uninstall it and use this info (click here to hide the update. It will no longer download or install until you unhide it. Save a lot of stress with new Cumulative updates.
