I have been trying to gat pcpitstop to do a full scan on my pc for a couple of days now and it always fails at the same point.
checking drive c.....10%
Internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Add on name. PCPitstop.dll
Company name. P.C.Pitstop LLC
Description. PCPitstop Activex

I have tried switching off zone alarm (turning all the settings to zero) and running the test logged in and not logged in.
Anybody else having problems? Any ides as to what may be causing this?

I've just run a test, and all seems ok.
Have you tried the bell for trouble shooting problems? May be worth a try.

Ok re done tests with all security off, Internet explorer seurity turned down, activex controls changed to the recommended settings in the troubleshooter. I still get the same error everytime.
There seems to be a problem with PCPitstop.dll add on. Although in the add on controls its there and showing as enabled.
Any thoughts?

Just checked the pc pitstop forum and it looks there is an issue with the latest version of pcp with regards to disk scan on some machines. They are aware of it and are working on the problem.
Typical my pc is one of THOSE machines!!
I wanted to see what difference my new ram has made! Ah well another time.
