problems with email

I someone can help, I dowloaded AVG 7.1 a couple of days ago after removing NAV 2005. I cannot now send or delete emails, I have disabled email scanner. My system is Windows 98. All advice would be welcome, and detailed if possible as I am new to the technicalities and tweaks. Many thanks in advance. Esso.

Are you using Outlook Express?
Do you get any error messages?
Did NAV check emails too? It may have adjusted email account settings and not set them to default.

Hi Splork thanks for the response, I am using Outlook Express and Yahoo. I do not get any error messages. I think NAV did check my emails, I am sorry I am a bit late returning my response. Will it be a pain to configure, if so can someone take me through it, as I said I am a novice and still learning, as we all are. Thanks again.
