Just been trying to convert to NTFS but jave the following problem:

Convert cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Convert may run if this volume is dismounted first. All opened handles to this volume would then be invalid. would you like to force a dismount on this volume y/n>

I then typed Y then the following message appeared:

Convert failed to dismount this volume. Convert cannot gain exclusive access to the c: drive

What does this mean and how can i solve it?

when you get the two warnings you mention answer yes to both then restart your system the process of converting fat32 to NTFS Will then begin. A word of warning once the process has began DO NOT reboot until it is finished or you may not be able to boot up to your desktop
