Problems after upgrading my motherboard.

XP doesn't always like a new motherboard and requires undertaking a Repair XP to overcome it.

Set the Bios to boot from CDROM (with your XP installation disk in the drive), Save and Exit the Bios and followed the guidance given in this link (saves me typing it out from memory):

You will retain all the configuration, programs, applications etc on your hard drive, but jsut might have to reinstall SP2 (and subsequent updates) if you don't have a slipstreamed disk.

I've twice changed motherboards in the last eight months and performed a Repair XP each time very straightforwardly.
