i have a toshiba laptop ( satellite C670/C670D )

when i press the power button my laptop loads as normal it shows the Toshiba screen and then goes to a black screen with a white line in the top left and from there it just repeats itself, it never gets any further,

ive tried taking battery out and holding the power button for 15-20 seconds

ive tried to fully factory reset holding the 0 when powering up

ive tried the F12 button when loading the boot menu none of these have worked

can anyone tell me how to get passed this

thank you

I read that taking the battery out then pressing F8/shift/power sometimes works.

If you have Windows 7 have you tried pressing F8 when booting to get into the Windows 7 Repair Menu?

Do you have a recovery disk?

I don't suppose for some reason that the display has been changed to an external display. Try Fn + F5. Have ou been able to try a different power adapter?

Remove and refit the hard drive and retry to boot.
