Problem with set up

Hello people,

I recently upgraded and have built a secondary system with the spare parts. For some reason, when I try to install Windows XP [old 10gb hardrive, 256 SDRAM] it will check for drivers etc, then state that it is starting the setup then hang.

I've tried changing the drive for another - still made no difference - reset the memory - fine, hardware seems in order, jumpers okay - STUCK!!!

What could it be? Any ideas?

Cheers, Si.

If you are using the same version of xp that is installed on your other pc, even if you manage to install you will have problems activating it.

XP takes a note of the hardware installed on your pc. So you can only use it on a single pc.
No doubt someone will tell you that this is illegal so watch out for the flak.

A quick search on Google can give you some interesting results!
