A problem opening links within internet explorer

Sometimes when i select a link on a website that opens a separate window the new window fails to load. What could be causing this?

i had a problem like this. i think it was my firewall blocking popup windows. maybe you have one too. or apopup blocker.

next time you try one that doesn't work hold the ctrl button and see if it works if it does it is a popup stopper type prob.

I have tried the CTRL key and that doesn't help so I guess its a popup problem. I have switched of zone alarm and the problem stil occurs. Are there settings in Internet Explorer itself that could cause this?

I had a problem like this and eventually found that if you remove the reference to the page from your Hosts file (Find Files-Hosts (No File Extention))don't leave a blank line! next time you click the link in your browser the page loads.
