Problem - My Documents not being in the start menu

Okay, yesterday I had serious trouble with IE after I installed IE 7 and then uninstalled it without restarting, but I managed to fix it by creating a file in the registry, anyway now "My Documents" is missing from the start menu, and I have tried the method where you play with the properties to make it appear, but it still wont re-appear, I think something would of been corrupted, anyway I need it back and I would be very thankful if someone could help.

Right click Taskbar, Properties. Start Menu, Customize button, Advanced tab. Make sure My Documents is ticked.

Still not appeared, I've done that three times already.

I'm on XP Home if it helps, and I haven't touched the Group Policy.
