On only 1 of my 3 computers AVG8 suddenly announced that the Email Scanner was inactive. Since I couldn't get it to work I uninstalled the whole program and re-installed a new one, but it still gives the same message.
I was just going to ask if anyone scanned outgoing emails as well.As most computers scan incoming mails is it a waste of time scanning the outgoing mail.Now not a fix but if you go to.Tools Advanced settings.Ignore faulty conditions.Tick e-mail scanner.Apply.
Which email client are you using?.... eg Outlook Express, MS Outlook, Incredimail, Thunderbird etc.... AVG doesn't scan web mail. It only supports POP3/SMTP and SSL POP3/SMTP email.... AOL's software isn't a POP3/SMTP email client and as such has never been supported... only standard email clients are.
