I have a pdf doc with is 30 pages with background colour on document being blue - I've Adobe reader installed on my computer.
Is there a way of printing the doc so it prints white background with black text - printing as it is will drink the ink.

Copy into word or notepad?

I think if I was doing it I would copy and paste the text only into a Word doc and print from there.

There is usually an adjustment in the printer settings to enable monochrome printing.

Have a look in Properties in the box that comes up when you have clicked the first Print button.
