Printer problems

I have a Sharp AJ1805 printer and each time I try to use it I get message "printer is not connected check leads and plugs", the printer is properly connected, when I unplug it then try it again it works fine but the next time I need it (say the next day) I have to unplug/plug in again for it to work.
When I check control panel it is listed, but in printers properties there is nothing in there at all. I was going to uninstall/reinstall but I have lost the software.

Is there anything I can do without the software?

Try click here for a driver.....There are several hopeful sights on google if you type.... sharp aj1805 .... including manuals for some Sharp printers.

If there is a self-test or reset button try that, sometimes printers will become "difficult" if the power switch is turned off before the printer has completed a job

I tried down loading new driver,but Im still getting the same message, any more idea's or has my printer gave up the ghost, had it about 3 year's

Just tried printer again, and it seems to be working fine, don't know how or why, but I'm in business again, thanks
