Printer insists on printing a document header

page before the document its self.

The machine is a Hewlett Packard 1317 all in one.
When printing a computer document whether a full item or as in my testing - a simple couple of lines of text,it prints first a document data sheet of title/dte of origin/date printed last etc.

What a waste of paper - how does one stop this.
Is it the printer or the computer?

In the text document go to File > Page Setup.

Remove anything in the boxes titled Header and Footer. Then try and print again.

But it was not that.
Having a fumble with Word it is
Tools/Options/Print/Document properties and click off all ticked boxes

You went to the Word equivilent.

When you posted I thought you had been using simple text in Notepad.
