I can set a background colour in a document, but when I preview and print, the background is white. How do I solve this problem?
In Word 2007, click on Office Button | Word Options | Display | check the "Print background colours and images" box | OK.
To print background colours is very intensive on ink use.If you want an overall coloured background, use tinted paper. You can buy small packs from stationers if you don't want much or, buy reams from places like Viking.
Thanks, that was well hidden. Even Help didn't find that.€dstowe, it's a certificate for emailing out.So presumably the recipients would have to enable that in their version of Word?
Perhaps instead of a background colour, you could add a watermark - that will print but will be less intensive of ink usage.
