Previous version of windows remove from boot menu

When i turn my computer on (Vista) it displays a list saying Windows Vista or Previous version of windows, how do i remove this list? Its useless since i dont even have a previous version of windows installed and if i choose previous it gives an error. Im guessing its there because i did an upgrade install to Vista? But why is it there if Windows XP isnt even installed anymore? How do i remove the menu and make windows start normal?

A long time since I had more than one system on the computer and I have yet to try Vista BUT-

Run 'msconfig' and select the Boot ini tab

Look for a line which specifies Winows XP an delete it.

For safety reasons in case I am offering dud advice, make a note of the line before you delete it!
