Hi All,

My Gigabyte P4 8PE800 motherboard recently blew up and now Im sitting with a P4 2.8 that Im not sure if it's okay. I have 2 queries:

1. Can I use the same case/power supply for the Asus motherboard/AMD 3500 that I have ordered.

2. How can I find out if the P4 processor is okay?

... what your current PSU is. Your choice of PSU also depends on what other hardware devices are running in your PC, e.g. top end graphics cards are power eaters!

click here will help you decide whether your current PSU is up to par.

If your case is ATX there should be no problems.

The only way I know of checking your P4 is plugging it into another mobo and seeing if it works!

Hope this helps!
