Over the last couple of days i have been getting loads of pop ups from different companies saying my computer isnt secure and trying to sell various kinds of pop up killers.
Am running IE6, XP and have an old free pop up killer (obviously not working too well.
Any advice on best free stopper?

I assume if saved to programs it will work for all users? - not sure what you mean.

Download the program. Run it, hit the middle button.Close the program. Reboot and the PC will no longer run the Messenger Service. This means you can no longer recieve these spam messages.

This affects the whole PC so all users are covered.

After that you can delete the program.

Did this work ? If not I'll show you how to stop it from within XP itself. Let me know.

That program does exactly the same thing you do manually - just a bit easier. Worked on my PC but not had any third party confirmation it worked / didn't work.
