When I log on to the internet ( I use AOL) before I have even typed in a web address there are the same annoying pop ups that keep recurring and won't go away.
How can I get rid of them, obviously been to a site where they hooked in to me???
Thanks in advance for any help!

If you download Netscape7 and load it, you can start AOL then start and use Netscape Browser in the Options you can turn off Popups I do not get any

Try using the Google tool bar (free), which I find is very effective at blocking pop-ups.

Also might be worth running 'Adaware' to see if you have some tracking cookies etc.

Click on setting on the top toolbar on the AOL home page and click preferences and click on Pop ups and check the block pop up box.
